Breaking the ice... in English 🎶✨

In our first English class, we started with something really special:
We introduced ourselves and shared an English song we want to learn! It was a creative and fun activity that helped us feel more comfortable and connect right away.

What did we do?

  • We introduced ourselves, talking a bit about our name, age, interests, and motivation to learn English.

  • We shared an English song we like or want to understand better.

  • We explained why we chose that song and what feelings or memories it brings us.

Skills we developed:

  • Speaking: when we spoke in front of the class.

  • Listening: when we paid attention to our classmates and their songs.

  • Vocabulary & emotions: by connecting English with music and feelings.

  • Confidence: we spoke in another language on the very first day!

Some of the songs we mentioned:

  • Still loving you – Scorpions

  • Let It Go – Linkin park

  • Believer – Guns and roses

  • Someone Like You – Adele

  • Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen

Reflection:

Learning English through music is a great way to improve pronunciation, hear real-life words, and learn natural expressions. Plus, it’s fun and keeps us motivated!
