Spelling the future with Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence 🤖💻

In our second class, we took an important step in building our English foundation:
We learned the correct pronunciation of the English alphabet and practiced spelling out words and acronyms commonly used in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).


What did we do?

  • Studied the full pronunciation of the English alphabet.

  • Practiced spelling aloud with classmates.

  • Played guessing games with common tech-related acronyms.

  • Matched each acronym with its real-world meaning.


Some acronyms we spelled:

  • AI – Artificial Intelligence

  • IoT – Internet of Things

  • URL – Uniform Resource Locator

  • IP – Internet Protocol

  • VPN – Virtual Private Network

  • CPU – Central Processing Unit

  • RAM – Random Access Memory

  • USB – Universal Serial Bus

  • DNS – Domain Name System

  • HTTPS – HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure


Skills we developed:

  • Listening & Speaking: by hearing and repeating the alphabet correctly.

  • Technical Vocabulary: learning real IT-related terms.

  • Spelling Fluency: spelling with confidence using the English alphabet.

  • Teamwork: through group games and acronym challenges.


Reflection:

Mastering the English alphabet is essential in any field, but especially in technology. Being able to spell and understand key acronyms strengthens both your pronunciation and your tech communication.
