Connecting ideas, careers, and grammar in one dynamic session

In our third English class, we explored the connection between language, technology, and real-life situations. It was a class full of conversation, reflection, and role assignment using the verb “to be.”

What did we do?

  1. Answered questions about social media
    – We discussed how we use social platforms and their impact on communication.
    – We answered questions like:

    • What is your favorite social media platform?

    • What do you use it for?

    • Is social media good or bad for communication?

  2. Talked about technology-related jobs
    – We explored the types of jobs in the tech world.
    – We shared ideas about careers like:

    • Software developer

    • Cybersecurity analyst

    • Data scientist

    • Network technician

    • IT support specialist

  3. Used the verb “to be” to assign roles
    – We practiced grammar by assigning roles using am, is, and are.
    – Example sentences:

    • I am the team leader.

    • She is the presenter.

    • They are the designers.

Skills we developed:

  • Speaking: sharing personal ideas and opinions.

  • Vocabulary: learning tech job titles and social media terms.

  • Grammar: using the verb to be in real contexts.

  • Teamwork: assigning roles and collaborating.

Reflection:

Language is not just about grammar — it’s about expressing our world. In this class, we used English to talk about our digital life, our career goals, and how we fit into a team.
